Take a beautiful lake, a cosy and comfortable cottage, great views of the landscaped gardens and water from the deck, and a big dose of peace and tranquility, and you have found the recipe for a perfect summer vacation. The original cottage has been delightfully renovated to create an attractive and appealing space, all on one level. The living room and dining area overlook the water with doors onto the deck, and the kitchen has everything you would need for basic to gourmet cooking, along with plenty of preparation space and a great breakfast bar. All three bedrooms have queen beds, and two of them have ensuite two-piece washrooms. Outside you can see the pride of ownership in the perennial gardens and lawned areas. Access to the water is off the dock or via the sandy and shallow walk in, and you have use of a range of watercraft to explore the lake. Long Lake and The Barr House are located about an hour north of Kingston which makes for a super day trip, with the neat little towns of Verona and Harrowsmith along the way. Sharbot Lake Provincial Park is around 30 minutes and a visit to delightful Westport should be an essential part of your vacation.
