This recently renovated cottage offers a charm and ambience that typifies the classic cottage country experience. A knotty pine motif throughout this cozy cottage will leave you no doubts that you have left the city and have arrived in the gem that we call cottage country. The spacious living room is the main feature of this cottage, offering comfortable seating and great views. There is a wood stove here should the weather turn chilly on those late-summer nights. Two comfortable bedrooms sleep a family of 5 in comfort. A double bed is in the master and another double with single bunk-over is in the second bedroom. A generous sized 3-piece bath rounds out this area of the cottage. A nicely equipped kitchen and dining area complete the interior. Just off the living room is the main deck, complete with the requisite Muskoka chairs for enjoying the view and sunsets. A barbecue is at the ready when the classic cottage cooking method is called for. In addition to the slope down to the water, there is a small flat area behind the cottage for playing. The waterfront is the likeliest place to occupy your time, however, with a dock, paddleboat, canoe and rowboat. Whitestone Lake is fabulous to explore, with many interesting bays and islands. Fishermen will delight in the selection and quantity that makes this lake well known for the sport. The water is deep off the end of the dock for excellent swimming. Out and about, the small village of Dunchurch has the basics, including a convenience store, LCBO and restaurant. Parry Sound is just a short drive, and contains most of the amenities and stores you would find in any larger centre. A drive in the other direction will take you to the picturesque towns of Magnetawan and Burks Falls.
