Lake Manitouwabing sits majestically among the thousands of lakes that dot the province in the Canadian Shield. It's sparkling waters, treed islands and winding bays make it one of the most sought after lakes for cottagers in the famous Parry Sound area. A south-facing lot is a special find on this lake, and at Rest Easy you will, well, rest easy. The cottage is built to house a large family, making maximum use of space with 5 bedrooms and the ability to sleep 10. A living room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms (including a laundry room) are subsidized by a screened sun porch, making this cottage a perfect place to relax and reconnect. The waterfront is where this cottage really shines, with not 1, not 2, but 3 docks taking full advantage of the location - a base for boating, swimming, or just relaxing in the sun. One of the docks is L-shaped with a canopy, another is set higher up and has a diving board (use at own risk). The water deepens quickly in the cove, and is generally clear and weed free. From here you can head to the main part of the Lake for pleasure boating, skiing or fishing. Out and about, cottagers will generally congregate in the town of Parry Sound. Sports fans will want to visit the Bobby Orr Museum. Aficionados of music will look to enjoy a concert or two at the annual Festival of the Sound. Strolling around the quaint town and waterfront make for a relaxing time at any time of day., and the entire group may want to take an island cruise for an afternoon. Golfers will appreciate the fact that there are several courses in the area, including the reknown Ridge at Manitou. Nearby Hurdsville also has a marina and nice family restaurant. If you're group is looking to rest easy during this year's vacation, you've found the spot!
