We always enjoy finding an upscale cottage on a smaller scale. It lets small families and couples enjoy premium accommodation without spending the money needed to secure a 5 or 6 bedroom larger cottage. If you are looking for something special in a cottage with a spacious treed yard and expansive waterfront, we invite you to Get to the Point. The cottage is a very convenient drive, just a few km off of highway 400, but far enough to let you know you are in cottage country. The lot is generally pie shaped, with the property fanning out to provide you with a huge shoreline. Swimming is fine from just about anywhere, and of course you can boat anywhere you like from here. A canoe is provided for local exploring and you might want to bring and dock your own motor boat (dock available at the owner's property 2 cottages away) if you want to explore the treasures of the Severn Waterway. Just one lock takes you to Georgian Bay. This completely refurbished cottage itself will charm you as soon as you enter. Simple in design, the large open concept living/kitchen/dining area is where you will spend most of you time when inside here. This area has windows on 3 sides, all offering unique and wonderful waterfront panoramic views. The kitchen is modern and up to date and the layout allows the family gourmet to enjoy the view while the food is prepared. In fact, there really isn't a spot at Get to the Point that doesn't afford you a great view. On either side of the large central room are the two bedrooms - one with a queen bed, the other with 2 twins. There is also a sitting room off the master bedroom that has a fold out couch/double bed. Would you be surprised if we told you this room had a nice view of the lake? Here at Get to the Point, you are right on Muskoka's doorstep. While the cottage and property will likely command your attention for much of the week, those wanting to get out and partake of cottage country charm will find the area of historic Midland of interest, as well as the other cottage country towns that dot the area. Nearby Coldwater has everything you need to stock up. Golfers will want to spend a day on the links at Bonaire, and those of you looking for a winter getaway may find this the perfect resting place after a day of skiing at Mount St. Louis Moonstone.
